The Institute of Public Policy (IPP),
South China University of Technology offers opportunities for Visiting Fellows
from a wide range of academic disciplines to carry out their individual
research and inform policymaking in China.
IPP is a leading research institution
where scholars from China
and abroad collaborate to advance knowledge creation and explore policy
solutions to pressing domestic and international issues facing China today.
We invite Visiting Fellows to work with us
for typically 1 to 3 months, with the possibility of extending their stay to 6
months under special circumstances.
Job Responsibilities:
●Making an intellectual
contribution to IPP and participating in our ongoing research
●Delivering a minimum of one
public lecture monthly
●Participating in academic
interviews arranged by IPP staff
●Publishing/authoring a journal
article or a policy paper (Visiting Fellows staying for 6 months are required
to publish 2 journal articles or policy papers)
●Indicating IPP as your primary
affiliation in your publications during the fellowship program
●Other duties as assigned
Required
Qualifications:
●PhD in Social Sciences
(Economics, Law, Sociology, Pedagogy, International Political Economy,
International Relations, etc.)
●Currently working full-time at
a higher education or research institution while holding a position equivalent
to or higher than Assistant Professor
●Outstanding academic
achievements and/or experience in policy development, analysis, and monitoring

●Living allowance of up to
10,000 CNY per month (pre-taxed)
●Accommodation subsidy of up to
3,000 CNY per month (pre-taxed)
