Project Description
The project
investigates the design and delivery of public service in contemporary
socio-technological settings with a variety of methodological approaches. Its
principal investigator, Dr. Wai-Hang Yee, is currently Associate Professor in
the School of Humanities and Social Science. He also
serves as the Associate Editor of the Asia Pacific Journal of Public
Administration. His research focuses on the intersection between public
administration, public management, and public policy.

Job Description
We are
seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support
our research projects in the field of public administration. In this role, you
will contribute to a variety of research projects by assisting with literature
reviews, data collection and analysis, and the preparation of research outputs.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative
research environment.
Applicants should have:
1.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. public administration, public
policy, political science, urban studies, sociology, environmental studies);
2. Strong
research, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
3. Excellent
written and verbal communication abilities in English and Chinese;
4.
Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, R, Python);
5. Ability
to work independently as well as collaboratively;
6.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills;
7.
Candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing an academic career in
this region are preferred.
Job Duties include:
1. Assisting
in literature reviews, data collection, and analysis, performing administrative
tasks such as preparing reports and organizing research materials;
2. Providing
general research support to ensure the success of ongoing projects.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
Salary will
be comparable to international standards, commensurate with experience and
accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of
CUHK-Shenzhen, and employee benefits will be provided according to the relevant
labor laws of Mainland China
as well as CUHK-Shenzhen regulations.
