Responsible for Library circulation
management and user services, assists users and provides team leadership of a
consolidated service desk.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Experience developing information
infrastruction, including equipment and platforms docking and maintenance,
internet service, etc.;
2. Identify, evaluate, and acquire
equipment and work with vendors to configure and setup a platform based on the
director’s directives;
3. Familiar with equipment and platforms
government procurement procedure and university bidding procedure;
4. Knowledge of emerging technologies, in
broad information technology application area;
5. Ability to communicate and work
effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse multi-cultural
socio-economic populations in an international research university;
6. Ability to work productively in a team
environment with vendors, IT, and library personnel.
Qualifications
and Requirements:
1. Master’s degree in Library or Computer
Science OR equivalent education and experience relevant to the position,
advanced degrees in relevant fields will be given preference in consideration;
2.
5+ year successful work experiences in relevant fields, experiences with
international research forms or universities in the area of library or IT will
be given special consideration;
3. Hands on experience in information
infrastruction and development;
4. Excellent communication skill and
highly collaborative work style;
5. Open mind, eagle to learn, and always
seek innovative solutions;
6. Services oriented, and willing to share
workload when necessary;
7. Have a demonstrated track record of
successful project management and implementation of technologies and services.
Salary and
Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate
with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the
establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to
the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at
the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
