岗位职责
The position will enable the candidate to conduct research at the highest level on developing algorithms for environment perception and state estimation for intelligent mobile systems such as robots, self-drivign cars, and intelligence augmentation devices. More specically, the work conducted in the context of this position will focus on
1. The use of AI in robotic state estimation with a particular focus on affordable, safe, and compliant robotic systems. Embodied AI will be considered for advanced exteroceptive sensor modelling, modelling of platform physics, and the efficient solution of related state estimation and sensor fusion problems.
2. Developing novel theories and algorithms for 3D motion estimation with neuromorphic cameras. The latter are a new type of camera that enables the perception of highly dynamic scenes under challenging illumination conditions, and thus is considered an interesting future exteroceptive perception alternative lifting the abilities of current robotic platforms.
We are looking to appoint a passionate researcher with strong theoretical and practical foundations in the areas of computer science, robotics, 3D computer vision, AI, applied math, optimization, and programming. The candidate is expected to work side-by-side with bilingual PhD and graduate students within the Mobile Perception Lab, and execute all tasks required for the conduct of top-level research (i.e. literature research, research proposal, team formation and student supervision, programming, writing, and dissemiantion in both academic journals/conferences as well as other contexts).

任职要求
1. a PhD in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering or related field by the start date
2. demonstrate interest in research on using AI and novel hardware such as neuromorphic sensors for robotic perception and state estimation
3. own a demosntrated track record of publications in related top conferences and journals
4. proficiency in C++ or Python programming
5. excellent written and verbal English communication skills
