Job Description
●Oversee the daily operation of the Center;
●Supervise the work of Center’s staff employees;
●With others, and across the University,
develop, oversee and promote the Center’s programs of test provision and
professional training and certification;
●Plan and deliver sustainable long-term income, oversee
the budget, and actively pursue opportunities to secure external funding for
the Center;
●Work with others across the University,
research communities and cross-sector partners to establish initiatives to
study and address Macau’s professional training needs;
●With the other Deans, Directors and senior
management teams, play a leading role in delivering the University’s strategy
for the promotion of life-long learning and standardized assessment; deliver
key University-wide, interdisciplinary initiatives, and advocate publicly for
their importance;
●Sustain and develop the professional and public
standing of the Center locally, nationally, and internationally, including
working with the relevant national and international bodies through the
management and coordination of collaboration with other public and private
organizations;
●Serve as an ambassador for the work and aims of
the Center and the University; assert and develop the Center’s standing as a
national center for testing and professional development;
●Develop an intellectual vision for the Center
that maps on to the overall strategic direction of the University;
●Any other duties as are within the scope,
spirit and purpose of the role as reasonable required by the Rector and the
University Council.
Requirement
●Master’s degree or above in Education, Business
Administration, Management or related disciplines;
●Minimum 9 years of teaching and/or
administrative experience, in particular, business and management experience in
higher education setting is preferred;
●Proven success in organizing and managing
programs and projects in the area of training, testing, professional
development and lifelong learning in Macau;
●Familiar with the administration and operation
of high stake national and international testing programs;
●Familiar with the organization and operation of
noon-degree exchange and training programs for students and faculty from higher
education institutions in the Mainland;
●Ability to make independent decisions with a
strong sense of empowerment;
●Respecting and compiling with University
policies, procedures with high ethical standards of conduct in the performance
of his/her job duties and responsibilities;
●Strong leadership with good interpersonal,
business analytical and problem-solving skills;
●The post holder must be a proactive, dynamic,
and self-motivated individual with good relationship building skills and high
standards of professionalism;
●Excellent written and spoken English,
Cantonese, and Mandarin with high level of technical accuracy;
●Local residents preferred under same
conditions.
